Case Study: Rapid Erection of a Mega Logistics Hub

Published: October 2025 8 min read min read

Project Overview

A leading e-commerce giant required a 500,000 sq.ft. logistics hub in a highly compressed timeframe of 6 months. The structure needed wide clear spans to maximize storage and maneuverability for automated guided vehicles (AGVs).

The Challenge

The primary challenges were the sheer scale of the project, the tight deadline, and the need for precision alignment to support the integration of advanced racking systems and AGVs.

The MAXXINFRA Solution

  • Optimized Design: Our engineering team used high-tensile steel to design a PEB structure with 40-meter clear spans, minimizing internal columns and optimizing tonnage.
  • Factory Automation: By utilizing automated CNC drilling and cutting machines at our Nagpur facility, we ensured highly accurate fabrication, eliminating on-site rework.
  • Parallel Execution: Foundation work and steel fabrication occurred simultaneously. The moment foundations were cured, our erection teams began installing the primary framing.

The Result

The entire structural steel and roofing system was completed in just 4.5 months, allowing the client to commence interior fit-outs well ahead of schedule. The project was delivered with zero lost-time incidents (LTI).
