What Are Pre-Engineered Buildings?

A Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) is a factory-fabricated structural steel system shipped to site and bolted together by Maxxinfra's trained erection crews. Every primary member is designed using STAAD.Pro and detailed in Tekla Structures — so what arrives on site is exactly what was engineered. Compared to conventional construction, PEB delivers the same structural performance 30–40% faster and with significantly less site labour.

Maxxinfra delivers the full scope: architectural and structural design, 3D detailing, in-house fabrication at Butibori MIDC, surface treatment, and site erection with crane and crew. IS 800:2007 design, IS 875:2015 wind load compliance, and seismic design for all zones.

Why Choose PEB

Four Reasons Buyers Choose PEB

40% Faster Than Conventional

Factory production and bolted site assembly cut total project timelines dramatically. No curing time. No formwork. Erection starts the day materials arrive on site.

Optimised Steel Quantum

Structural design software minimises steel use without compromising safety. Factory-controlled production eliminates on-site rework and material waste.

Factory-Controlled Quality

Every primary member is CNC-fabricated, dimensionally checked, tagged, and inspected at our Butibori plant before a single piece leaves for site.

Expandable in Three Dimensions

PEB structures can be extended in length, width, or height after initial construction. Plan for today's need, expand for tomorrow's growth — without demolishing and rebuilding.

How We Deliver

PEB Delivery Process

01

Site Survey

Geotechnical data, wind zone, occupancy classification and client load requirements captured before design starts.

02

Structural Design

STAAD.Pro analysis per IS 800:2007. Wind, seismic, live and dead load combinations. Design report issued to client.

03

3D Detailing

Tekla Structures model. Every bolt, plate, haunch and purlin detailed. 48–72 hour turnaround on approval drawings.

04

Factory Fabrication

CNC plasma cutting, drilling and welding at Butibori MIDC. Each member tagged, measured and signed off before painting.

05

Surface Treatment

SA 2.5 blast cleaning, zinc-rich primer coat, intermediate and topcoat per client specification.

06

Site Erection

Maxxinfra erection crew, mobile cranes, and safety supervision. Structure plumb-checked and handed over with as-built drawings.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is included in a MAXXINFRA PEB package?

Primary rigid frames (built-up tapered sections), secondary members (Z/C purlins and girts), bracing, roof and wall sheeting, trims, flashings, anchor bolts and erection drawings. Crane beams, mezzanines, skylights, roof monitors, ventilators and insulation are added to suit the building's use.

How long does a PEB project take?

Engineering drawings are typically issued within 48–72 hours of design freeze. Fabrication at our two Butibori MIDC units runs at a combined 3,000 MT per month, so a 300–500 MT building is usually ready for dispatch in four to six weeks; erection follows at site once foundations are ready.

Which design codes do you follow?

IS 800:2007 for steel design, IS 875 (Parts 1–3) for dead, live and wind loads and IS 1893 for seismic design, with AISC and MBMA methods used where a client specification calls for them. Wind speed and seismic zone are taken for the actual site location.

Can a pre-engineered building carry overhead cranes?

Yes. Crane columns, brackets and runway beams are designed into the frame from the start. Our delivered buildings include crane-supported workshops rated up to 250 MT and a multi-span complex with 25 + 10 MT EOT cranes running its full 150 m length.

What clear spans are possible with PEB?

Clear-span frames of 20–60 m are the economical range; our widest delivered structure is a 93.8 m clear-span curved-roof shed. Multi-span frames with interior columns are used when a full clear span is not needed.

Where we deliver

Fabricated at Butibori MIDC, Nagpur — central India, a day's road run to most industrial hubs — and erected by our own crews across the country.
